Why a Beta Cohort
For three years, we've been asked the same question: When is there going to be something for middle schoolers?
Stir into Flame is the answer. It's a seven-session program that teaches grades 5–8 what charisms are, helps them notice the ones God may have given them, and sends them out commissioned to use them.
The curriculum is done. The print book is going up on Amazon this week. But before we launch it widely, we want a small, deliberate group of leaders running it for a full school year — in real classrooms, real CCD nights, real homeschool tables, real youth group rooms — so we can see what works, what needs reshaping, and what to add for v2.0.

We're asking real things of our beta members, because we need real feedback to build v2.0 the right way. Here's what we ask of you, and here's what you get in return.
What you commit to
- Use Stir into Flame with a middle-school group (or Restored Order group in grades 2–4) during the 2026–27 school year
- Join the Middle School Beta Test Cohort community
- Complete a 10–15 minute mid-year survey (late January 2027)
- Complete a 15–20 minute end-of-year survey (late May 2027)
- Opt-in to a 30-minute phone debrief during the school year (we'd love this from about 20 of the 50)
- Tell us your context — parish, school, homeschool, youth group, Restored Order or standard, group size

Who is this for?
Anyone using Stir into Flame with middle schoolers in grades 5–8 — homeschool parents, catechists, classroom teachers, youth ministers, DREs — or anyone adapting it for Restored Order Confirmation prep in grades 2–4.
Do I need to be Catholic to use this?
The program is built on Catholic theology — the seven sacraments, the role of the Holy Spirit, the dignity of the human person, vocation, the communion of the saints. It will work best for Catholic groups. If you're using it in a non-Catholic context, the structure will hold, but some sessions will play out differently in places.
Do I have to buy the workbooks?
No. You can use the digital workbook PDFs, self-print, or skip workbooks entirely and run the program with only the Leader Guide, Charism Cards, and observational tools. The printed workbook upgrade is an optional bulk add-on (50% off during beta on orders of 10 or more — that's the minimum order).
Can I use this for Restored Order Confirmation prep with younger children?
Yes. The Master Leader's Edition includes a full Restored Order Adaptation section for grades 2–4 — shorter sessions, simpler language, modified workbook pages, and Session 6 (obstacles) skipped. The print-ready Restored Order Workbook PDF is included in your beta seat.
Is the curriculum complete, or am I beta-testing unfinished material?
Our curriculum is complete and ready for your classroom. We've used versions of these tools with students over the years, and we are excited to bring them for the first time in a unified format to young people in the 2026–27 school year. We are running this beta test not because we think this will not work, but because we want to continue to create the best resources possible, and your feedback will help us do that.
What's the refund policy?
Seven days, materials undownloaded. Full refund within 7 days of purchase as long as the digital materials have not been downloaded. Once materials are downloaded, no refunds. This is standard for digital products with full materials delivered at checkout.
What if our school year starts later than fall 2026?
That's fine. The beta cohort runs across the 2026–27 school year. You can begin the program whenever your school year begins. The surveys happen in January and May regardless — just complete them based on however far through the program you are.
Does the site license really let 5 leaders use it?
Yes. Up to five leaders on the same team can get digital access to the materials and the Middle School Beta Test Cohort community using the codes we provide you after checkout when you purchase as an organization.
Is this on Amazon too?
