We lead the way in imagining a better future for our Church.
In most parishes, the same handful of people run everything. But what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if we could build a better parish or diocesan culture where, instead of living on desperation-coded ambo announcements, we began empowering our people to understand what gifts the Holy Spirit has given them and giving them a supportive framework to map those gifts to service in the Church?
Charisms are gifts the Holy Spirit gives a person for the building up of the Church. They are uniquely chosen and gifted to each individual with God’s complete knowledge of their natural inclinations and tendencies, their weaknesses and their strengths. These gifts are how the Holy Spirit moves in people to form, provide for, and organize the Church on every front.
This theology of charisms is present from the very beginning — observed in the aftermath of Pentecost and alive in the faithful throughout the ages. In it we witness the very real way in which we are the many parts of the One Body of Christ.
But though this has always been present and true, we’ve been missing an accessible, practical way for regular Mass attendees to begin discerning their gifts, or a way for leaders to understand the gifts the Holy Spirit has given the people they lead.
That’s what we build as a charism discernment apostolate. We create the assessments, the training, and the software that let a parish or a diocese provide this at scale in the most accessible, flexible, and affordable way possible — so that everyone can say yes to the right things, instead of just a few people saying yes to everything.
Your charism assessment is our gift to every ICSC attendee, free through October 15.

One more thing you should know. At the end you’ll see a short sample of our parish questionnaire — a customizable piece of our process that connects a person’s gifts to actual ministries during a stewardship renewal. It’s a sample, so you’re seeing an example of what parishioners would see during a renewal.
What it looks like to run this parish-wide — during a stewardship renewal, or as a lifetime program your staff and ministry leaders run all year.
